Eleni Kalogirou is a graduate of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Hellenic Mediterranean University and has specialized in Pediatric Nutrition and DNA-based Nutrition.
I studied at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Hellenic Mediterranean University of Crete and graduated in October 2020. To broaden my knowledge, I attended the Postgraduate Program in Pediatric Nutrition offered by the Hellenic Dietetic Association. I also deepened my understanding of childhood obesity through a program by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Finally, I completed a specialized seminar on the nutritional management of cases through Genome Analysis.
I completed my internship as a dietitian at the Achillopouleio General Hospital of Volos. After that, I started working actively as a dietitian, offering home visits. Since January 2022, I have been operating my own Dietetic Office in South Pelion.
I constantly attend seminars, conferences, and programs directly or indirectly related to the field of Nutrition. This helps me stay up to date with the latest developments in the science of Nutrition and Dietetics. My goal for the near future is to specialize in Autoimmune Diseases and Psychodietetics.
I enjoy spending time in nature and with animals—it’s a way for me to relax. I love trying new things and experimenting with unique flavors, mostly using products from my own garden. Furniture restoration is another passion of mine, as completing a project gives me a sense of renewal and gratitude. I love being able to transform things and give them new value. Lastly, I am always looking for ways to promote positive messages within my community about the importance of a balanced diet and overall lifestyle. I do this through talks and by organizing events on nutrition that are interactive and fun, not tiring. My future goal is to create a space within my local community where I can help children learn about healthy eating through engaging activities and play.
